Jazz Band Fundraiser - February 6 featuring special guests!

The Lemon Bay High School Jazz Band is preparing for a few events coming up.  First is a fundraising concert on Sunday, February 6th with special guest: the Fred Capitelli Big Band!  Donations are accepted at the door, and the downbeat (start time) is at 2:00 PM.  Hope to see you there.

FBA Jazz Band Performance Assessment - February 12 and 13

The jazz band will be participating at the FBA District 11 Jazz Band performance assessment on February 12 and 13 at Braden River High School.   The band will perform 3 pieces of music and receive an objective evaluation based on their performance.  This year's selections are:

• Blues Plus Four - Carl Strommen

• El Gatotriste - Chuck Mangione

• Slingshot - Jeff Jarvis

Glenn Miller Big Band Tribute Concert

On February 25, the jazz band will perform a selection of Big Band tunes featuring charts made famous by the late Glenn Miller.  This concert is part of the LBHS Performing Arts Series, and is for season-ticket holders only.  Students are to arrive in the band room by 6:30 PM.  This is going to be a great event!  See you there!
